Shawn was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from East Central High School in 1990 where he played basketball and was all around a cool guy. He attended Texas State University for two years and completed his Associates degree in Business from U.T.S.A.

He began his professional career working for Citicorp Data Systems from 1993 to 1996. At the tender age of 21, Shawn co -founded his first lighting company, Showcase Lighting Inc., and continued with that company thru 2004. His entrepreneurial spirit then gave birth to Elite Lighting Designs.

Over their 25 years in business, Elite Lighting Designs had evolved from strictly residential lighting to commercial, solar, and holiday lighting design and installation. Over the years, he has built a company that takes care of its customers and employees as if they were family. Elite is a local, family-owned and operated, business and is proud to be apart of the E.O. Organization. Shawn is a past president of E.O, and a DSC Club South Texas founding member. Elite supports The Humane Society of San Antonio, St Jude’s, Wounded Warriors, Morgan’s Wonderland and many more community charities.
